Baba Yaga's Cabin

This is a place of embers and bones, of stories whispered through pine needles and truths steeped in moonlight.

Here, I share spells, scars, soulwork, and sacred nonsense —

the kind that speaks to witches, wanderers, and wild-hearted ones.

Not all who find this place will understand it.

But if your soul lets out a sigh as you read these words…

then you were always meant to find me.
Welcome to Baba Yaga’s Cabin.

Will vs Power: The Witch, the Lantern, and the Sun God

💫 — A Forest-Side Musing on Magic, Myth, and the Modern Superhero

In the darkest wood or the brightest city, the same question lingers like smoke:

“Who is stronger—Superman or Green Lantern?”

It’s the sort of question that sparks in comic shops, schoolyards, and quiet daydreams. But here, in Baba Yaga’s Cabin, we ask it not just as a battle of capes and fists…

…but as a tale.
A mirror.
A spell of meaning.

☀️ The Sun God: Superman

He is the golden boy. The light-filled titan.
A being of alien birth, raised in Kansas soil.
He is faster than thought, stronger than storms, and kinder than kings.

Superman is the solar archetype—a living Apollo.
His power is not earned. It is innate. Baked into his bones.
He does not imagine his strength. He simply is.
And yet, for all his glory, he is bound by morality.
His restraint is his anchor. His virtue is his vulnerability.

He protects. He watches. He reacts.

He is power embodied—but he does not shape reality.
He holds it together.

💍 The Will-Bearer: Green Lantern

Now step into a different myth…

Green Lantern is not faster than light.
He is not stronger than steel.
He was not born a god.

He was chosen.

Chosen because he believed in something greater than fear.
Because he had the will to face the void and hold the line.

The ring he wears is ancient alien tech, sure.
But it’s also a metaphor for imagination and belief.

Whatever the bearer can envision,
whatever their will can sustain,
they can create.

A shield.
A sword.
A safe place.
A second chance.

⚔️ So… Who Would Win?

If they met in battle?
If the sun god and the will-wielder collided?

Most would say: Superman, of course! He’s unstoppable!

And yet…

Lanterns can wield Kryptonite.
They can craft cages made of light and thought.
They can tap into the energy of an entire Corps.
They can bend reality—not by force, but by focus.

You see, Superman is power.
But Green Lantern channels power.

And as any witch will tell you—
channel is not weaker than the storm.
It is the path through which the storm finds purpose.

🧙‍♀️ The Witch in the Mirror

Now look closer. Peer into the ring… or the wand… or your own outstretched hand.

Green Lantern is the witch’s superhero.

Not because of pointy hats or cauldrons,
but because he represents the essence of magic:

Will. Intention. Imagination. Creation.

He doesn’t punch harder.
He believes harder.
He reshapes reality not with brawn,
but with clarity and focus.

And if that isn’t witchcraft, my loves… what is?

🌕 The Moral of the Story?

You don’t have to be born a god to change the world.
You only have to believe in your vision strongly enough to make it real.

You don’t need sunlight in your cells.
You need a lantern in your heart.

So whether you wield a ring, a wand, a journal, a pen, or just a whispered prayer over morning tea—

Know this:

It is not always the strongest who wins.
It is the one who refuses to give up imagining a better world.
And then dares to build it.
Spell by spell.
Word by word.
Light by light.

From the Crone’s Cauldron:

“In brightest day, in blackest night…
The real magic is the will to fight.”
